How Does Fraxel Laser Works
Fraxel works by penetrating deeper into the dermal layer of skin, which causes those areas to produce new cells and collagen. It is a non-surgical procedure done under topical numbing cream.
Fraxel Laser is a treatment for the following skin conditions
- Age spots
- Sun spots and sun damage
- Acne scars
- Surgery scars
- Stretch marks
- Pigment damage or discoloration
- Darkening of skin related to pregnancy (melasma)
- Large pores
What can you expect during a Fraxel treatment.
After washing the face, a numbing cream is applied for an hour. Treatment with Fraxel Restore Laser is performed followed by icing the face. Mild discomfort occurs during the treatment with no pain afterwards.
- Fraxel a skin science that delivers dramatic results
- Safe non-invasive treatment with minimal recovery time for all skin types
What happens after Fraxel treatment?
You will experience a mild sunburn sensation for one to two hours after treatment, some swelling that will subside in two to three days. Need to apply ice for first 24 hours.
Your skin will have a pinkish tone for about three days, but you may apply make-up soon after treatment.
You must use sunscreen to protect your skin after treatment. We recommend using a moisturizing screen with an SPF of 30 or higher.
Fraxel laser is FDA-approved for treatment of the following:
- Wrinkles around the eyes
- Wrinkles on the face and neck
- Sun damage and age spots
- Acne scars and surgical scars
- Skin resurfacing
- Shrink pores
- Improve collagen, texture and tone
- Melasma (brown spots/pregnancy mask)
Fraxel Laser with Platelet Rich Plasma
Fraxel treatment can be combined with platelet rich plasma. Your own growth factors create additional new cells, fibrin, matrix, collagen and new blood vessels to enhance the results. This combined treatment creates a new youthful skin.
