Labiaplasty

Reconstructive procedures may seem “optional.” But for some women, the correction of certain conditions can be life altering in their positive affect.

A severe malformation of the labia can be devastating. For woman with uneven, asymmetrical or large labia minora, this can cause extreme pain during intercourse. The appearence of elongated labia minora can be distressful and can cause low self  esteem. Labiaplasty, also known as reduction of enlarged labia minora can correct these issues. Depending on individual circumstances, different techniques can be applied along with other corrections such as hymenoplasty, vaginoplasty, and clitoral hood reduction. These procedures are relatively safe and effective solutions for total sexual health. Most can be performed in the clinic setting or outpatient surgery center under local anesthesia.
